With "Read Only" mode turned OFF, you can modify, create, and delete information within Just1Key Mobile.
If you are using a PDA or platform that does not have JavaScript enabled in its web-browser, then you will need to click the 'Select' button after you highlight the Account Description you want. Therefore, when using the 'Remove' button, it's important to realize that the last account *selected* (and not just highlighted) will be what is removed -- so pay close attention to the 'remove confirmation screen', in order to confirm the account you selected for removal is indeed the correct one.
Although our first version of Just1Key Mobile has been very well tested, it would be almost impossible to test on every platform. Since it works almost everywhere, we would need to test *hundreds* of different PDA's, mobile phones, and computers -- and then, every web-browser program and released version available on each. So to summarize: if you're concerned about your system being 100% compatible with J1K Mobile, use the "Read Only" mode, or at least wait until 24 hours since your last data modification (as we have a quadruple backup system, in 4 physical locales, but two of them are done nightly). And, we invite our users to let us know how J1K Mobile performed under their particular system specification, so over time we can compile a full compatibility list.
When using "Read Only" mode, the system performs faster, because new data is not created or saved. Otherwise, your encrypted data is saved in two separate countries, simultaneously (see below for more). If, while in the act of using Just1Key Mobile, there is a connection problem with one of the two servers (in Canada or the U.S.), the application will switch automatically into "Read Only" mode for safety.
Just1Key Ultra-Secure Version has been available online since mid-2003 (although we recently renamed it, it was originally known as "Just1Key Web Version"). All Premium users can access their information via the Ultra-Secure or Mobile version interchangeably, although you can have only one active login at a time, regardless of the version.
J1K Ultra-Secure has a "sort" button, which is not (yet) available within J1K Mobile. However, it's easy to simply do your data sorting the next time you access J1K Ultra-Secure, which will of course reflect in your J1K Mobile access thereafter.
J1K Ultra-Secure is served out of Canada, and J1K Mobile out of a U.S. location, separated by thousands of miles (hence, 'geographical redundancy'). The secure SSL servers they are directly accessed from are 'mailserver1.hushmail.com' and 'secure03.crimsonata.com' , respectively. We always let our Premium users know if these domain names change in the future.
An added backup feature is our server's geographical redundancy -- whenever a Premium user accesses J1K Mobile, a copy of their encrypted data is saved there. Therefore, even if the J1K Ultra-Secure server were inaccessible for a short period of time, a semi-recent backup copy can still be instantly accessed on the J1K Mobile server. This is "Stage One" of our new 1.4 server system, and over time, we will have real-time redundancy implemented. Simply put, accessing your Just1Key data is likely more reliable than any other web-based Internet system you've ever used. Please see our FAQ for more about this.
Security differences: Both Just1Key versions, Ultra-Secure and Mobile, are extremely secure, and will strongly safeguard your private information. The main difference between the two is physically where the secure Java Applet code is executed -- please see our FAQ for specific details.
In Just1Key Mobile, there are no 'Copy to Clipboard' or 'Open to Web' buttons. This is because there is not yet a standard way of copying to the clipboard in most PDA's, nor do many PDA's allow multiple web-browser sessions. If you use your system's 'copy' shortcut to copy data, please remember that J1K Mobile does not clear the system clipboard after Logout the same way that J1K Ultra-Secure does. Therefore you should clear the clipboard manually if you're using a device that others may have access to (perhaps the easiest way is to copy something non-sensitive into the clipboard).
'Demo' account: both Ultra-Secure and Mobile versions have free demonstration modes. With J1K Mobile, no passphrase is required. With J1K Ultra-Secure, use 'password'.
